Sliders? Again we used that for plenty of core sets!
This is the only way I'm doing any kind of pike! Used to hate it because it was harder! Still is (hello, long torso)! But it's not as hard as it once was! That's the key to things getting easier isn't it? Keep going when it IS hard! (James 1)

I love, love, LOVE the leg day workouts in this program. In particular, I like the ones from phase 2!
The sliders get used about every other move on this day but it includes the weights and more challenging combination moves than phase 1. I love that the sliders mean that I have to exercise my abilities to manipulate small muscles that control stability and maintain at least a partial weight displacement on both feet. Lots of leg workouts are designed for you to evenly distribute weight on both feet or one at a time. While this program does have those moves, the slider variations of the moves really make it so you are putting the weight into just your heels or just the balls of your feet. This in turn cranks up the work your calves and thighs will be doing. This is how you maximize your workouts. It's not just about going up in weights or reps. It's increasing the time your muscles are working and how many muscles get worked at once!

Another great habit to get into is to make a fresh fruit salad every week or at least every other week!
You can change up the ingredients in it if you get bored (don't add bananas until a little bit before or when you actually serve it up 🤪). So long as you have some sturdier fruits in there (like peaches, nectarines, apples) and are mindful of the type of dressing you whip up, you've got an easy side dish. You also have fruit ready to go into yogurt or oatmeal or to blend into a smoothie.
I went with peaches, apples, blueberries, and (before serving) bananas this week. Not everyone at our house enjoys raw fruit but everybody likes a good fruit salad!
Then the next grocery trip I change up the fruits I get and there will be a different fruit salad for a different week.

Talking Nutrition Today!

If you have trouble getting in your veggies, think of things that you might normally eat that only give you a partial serving of veggies and just bulk it so it becomes a full serving! I definitely do this with sandwiches or wraps and even items like pasta salads. So many of those dishes are heavy carbs and very minimal on other food groups. I like to go heavier on the greens and tomatoes or other veggies to minimize having to prep a whole nother vegetable side. Eating healthier doesn't have to take double the time commitment if you're flexible and make smart choices!
