On Thursday we were fortunate enough to host a First Aid for the K9 Handler class in Bucksport. We had and excellent group of mixed first responders and K9 Handlers in attendance. We discussed field emergencies, medical emergencies and utilized a lot of hands on opportunities. I want to thank Bucksport Police Dept for providing us a location and inviting us to share our skills and knowledge with them. For us, its all about the K9! For the K9s, it was all about the belly rubs ❤️

I check every one of these off. Quite frequently, all in one shift. It takes more than just a love for animals to do this job. It is definitely not for the faint of heart. For every good moment, there is an equally challenging one, but at the end of the day, it's all worth it. Wrapping up Veterinary Technician Week 2025, I want to say thank you to all the techs out there. We are the backbone of veterinary medicine. We keep the wheels on the bus. Just never forget, we do it as a team because the only way to the other side is to go through it together!
