She wasn’t a beginner.
She’d run 14 marathons.
But this time?
Every long run ended with back stiffness that shut her down.

She tried rest — the pain came back.
She tried gait analysis elsewhere — they told her her “knees caved in.”
She tried PT — but nothing changed her stride.

The problem wasn’t her knees.
It wasn’t her back.
It was a rotation pattern her body had forgotten how to use.

He’d been told:
“Stop squatting.”
“Stop lifting heavy.”
“CrossFit is too much for your back.”

His MRI said “disc degeneration.”
His ortho recommended injections.

But no one asked why only certain lifts flared him up.
No one looked at how he moved under load.

We did.
And the real issue wasn’t his disc — it was a bracing pattern that collapsed under fatigue.

We rebuilt it.
Today he’s lifting more than he did before the pain started… no surgery in sight.

He told us the pain made him feel unprofessional.
He’d shift in his chair, stand halfway through presentations, and joke about “getting old.”

But none of it was funny to him.

He tried fancy chairs.
He tried stretching apps.
He tried PT — but felt like he was being babysat in the corner.

No one ever tested how he sat, moved, or stabilized.

We did.
And it turned out the real issue was a core and hip pattern that failed after 10 minutes.

Once we rebuilt it, meetings weren’t a problem anymore.

Ben Just Graduated His Care Plan!

When Ben first came to us, he was dealing with constant back and neck pain that made it nearly impossible to get through a full serving shift. Working long hours at some of Petaluma’s local gems like The Shuckery and Luma Eatery, the pain was always there — standing, moving, and worrying about his posture every single day.

Nothing he tried gave him a long-term solution, and he was tired of feeling stuck and frustrated in his own body.

We worked 1:1 with Ben to find the root cause — not just chase symptoms — and built a plan that matched his goals and the demands of his job.

Now he’s finishing his plan pain-free, getting through long shifts with confidence, standing taller with improved posture, and feeling stronger than ever. These days, his focus isn’t avoiding pain — it’s building strength.

Totally normal for her age.

The real issue was a movement pattern her body didn’t trust anymore.

Every time he played pickleball, something “pulled.”
Sometimes his back, sometimes his hip, sometimes his calf.

He thought he was “falling apart.”
His friends joked that he needed to “act his age.”
His ortho said it was “normal” to slow down.

But none of that was true.

Once we assessed him, the real problem was clear:
His body wasn’t breaking down — it just wasn’t prepared for quick rotation and acceleration.

We rebuilt his movement from the ground up.
Now he’s playing 4 days a week… without that constant fear of the next pull.

Age wasn’t the issue.
