With every year that passes the memory of this day never fades. It was a day much like today, same weather, same change in the air. Never forget those lost and those who gave their lives for others. #911

What do you notice first?
Our inner voice, that self-narrative, can be so mean and corrosive. Practice celebrating small victories. For me? Not feeling dizzy for reps is a huge win!

Something you may not know about me is that my degree and background is in health science and part of that is behavior and behavior change. What makes us act and how to keep growing and be consistent with an exercise regiment.A common topic that has come up with my clients is:What is the difference between giving ourselves, grace and making excuses? The primary difference is the: pattern of which the behavior occurs. For example, exercise is a journey that ebbs and flows and often follows our lives patterns of up and down. If we reach a point where we are giving ourselves space from exercise such that it becomes a pattern-we are actually creating a system of excuses. Whereas, sometimes we need rest-and rest is healthy! That’s giving yourself grace. The perfect example of this is when something happens in our lives that is unpredictable and out of our control: like getting sick. Our bodies need extra rest and nutrition, and some grace. Plus the understanding that coming back into our regular routine needs to happen slowly. The less is more principal until we are fully healed. It is an intuitive journey that takes introspection. I always like to ask myself, why? Am I pulling back because I’m tired, am I pulling back on high intensity because I am emotionally upset? Where is the disconnect happening and from there clarity can be found.
