Some days are harder than others.

Having a child in a wheelchair comes with a unique kind of struggle, a million little details that most people don’t even think about. The driveways that feel like hills, the grass that’s too thick for wheels, the stares you pretend not to see, and the heartbreak you feel when the world isn’t built for your child.

Today, we walked the driveway. Over and over again.
It wasn’t just about getting Kolbie moving in his walker, it was about showing him he can move, can play, can be part of what everyone else is doing, even if it looks a little different.

And the best part?
Kash, his twin brother, never sees him as different. He passed the soccer ball to Kolbie like it was the most natural thing in the world, because to him, it is. There’s no hesitation, no pity, just love, play, and that twin bond that runs deep.

The world may see the wheelchair first.
But not Kash.
He sees his brother. His teammate. His best friend.

And that kind of love? That’s what keeps us going. 💛♿️⚽

Sometimes, it’s the smallest gestures that mean the most. ❤️🍦

We took a trip to Dairy Queen for a little ice cream treat, and like always, they went out of their way to include Kolbie in the experience. Since Kolbie is Gtube fed, he can’t eat like everyone else, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to be part of the fun.

Every time we go, the employees offer him his own empty cup with a spoon. Just like his brother. Just like everyone else. It may be empty, but to Kolbie, it means everything. He gets to hold it, stir it, play with the spoon, feel included. It’s not just a cup; it’s a moment of dignity and belonging.

When you’re raising a child with special needs, these are the moments that hit you the hardest not because they’re big, but because they’re so rare. Most places don’t think twice. But some do. Some make space for kids like Kolbie without needing to be asked.

💙 To every business that sees our kids… that chooses kindness over convenience… thank you. You’re not just serving ice cream, you’re serving inclusion, and that changes lives.

Not all heroes wear capes some wear soccer jerseys and sit patiently through endless therapy appointments. 💪❤️

This right here is what strength and love look like. The siblings of kids with special needs are the silent supporters, the cheerleaders in the background, and the ones who learn early that compassion matters more than convenience.

He didn’t sign up for the doctor visits, therapy rooms, or early morning meltdowns but he shows up. Every time. With a smile, with patience, and with love for his brother that runs so deep it makes my heart ache in the best way.

To the siblings who tag along for this wild ride we see you. We appreciate you. And we know it’s not always easy, but you make the world a softer, kinder place just by being in it. 💚

They say siblings are built-in best friends but Kash?
He’s more than that. He’s Kolbie’s protector, biggest fan, and ride-or-die. 💚

From NICU days to long hospital nights, from therapy sessions to school mornings, these two have walked a road that most can’t imagine. But through it all, the one thing that’s never wavered is Kash’s love for his brother.

Kash doesn’t see Kolbie’s differences he sees his light. His joy. His fight.
And that’s exactly why he’s starting The K Code a movement born from love, driven by purpose.

The K Code isn’t just a brand. It’s a statement.
A reminder that being different isn’t less it’s powerful.
It’s about spreading kindness, promoting inclusion, and showing the world what unconditional love really looks like.

Kash wants other kids and families like ours to feel seen. To feel strong. To know that they’re not alone in their journey.

Because when you’ve got a bond like theirs?
You turn the hard days into hope. And you turn love into a legacy.

Today, I’m celebrating something HUGE both of my boys made the A/B Honor Roll! 🙌💥

If you know our story, you know this isn’t just about grades. Both Kash and Kolbie have learning disabilities, and every day is a battle to stay focused, stay encouraged, and keep showing up even when it’s hard.

Kolbie may never graduate with a traditional diploma, but he will walk across that stage one day with a certificate in his hand and a lifetime of achievements in his heart. And to me? That’s just as powerful if not more.

Inclusion matters. Effort matters. Every win matters.

This is proof that success doesn’t look the same for every child and that’s okay. What matters is that they feel seen, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are.

To every parent walking a similar road: I see you. And to every kid who’s trying their best in a world that doesn’t always make space for them you are enough, you are smart, and you are worthy of applause.

Today, you’re shining. 🌟

💐 Happy Mother’s Day to the Special Needs Mamas 💐

To the mama who hasn’t slept through the night in years…
To the mama fighting for services, advocating at every turn, and learning medical terms you never thought you’d need…
To the mama who celebrates inchstones instead of milestones…
To the mama who holds it all together with love, grit, and maybe some coffee and tears…

I see you.

This journey is not for the faint of heart it’s for the warriors. The ones who show up every damn day, even when you’re running on empty. The ones who carry the weight of the world for your child, and still find a way to smile when they do something only you know how hard they worked for.

You’ve missed events, lost friendships, and probably felt invisible more times than you can count but today, I hope you feel SEEN.

You’re doing holy work, even when it’s messy. Even when it’s thankless. Even when the world doesn’t understand.

So from one mama in the trenches to another:
You are not alone.
You are doing incredible.
You are everything your child needs.

Today, we celebrate the strength, the softness, the sacrifice, and the soul it takes to be a special needs mom.
This day is for you, Mama. 💛
