Ever heard of a TV game show called "The Floor?" 📺 It is based on a playing floor divided into squares holding different contestants with specific trivia category knowledge. Neighboring contestants compete in head to-head trivia duels as the winner's "territory" expands into losing player's square(s) of the floor grid. During our version of The Floor yesterday afternoon, it was residents vs. staff, and we all had a blast... especially Jen, our Activities Director, embodying the perfect show host in that Rob Lowe wig! 😂

Progress Update: The Clubhouse for our Summerfield cottage neighborhood is coming along nicely! Can’t wait to welcome our residents in towards the end of the summer as we anxiously await its grand opening! ⏱️ 👀

Friday Fun: This Foam Party at Lutheran Community at Telford to cap off last week was just what our residents needed to start their weekend! Live music and root beer floats made the perfect pairing for this bubbly afternoon in our Chapel parking lot. 🫧

We are thrilled to announce the latest Fitness & Wellness endeavor at Grace Inspired Living communities! 𝐿𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑊𝑒𝑙𝑙's Adventure Club kicked off last Monday with Horseback Riding. 🏇🏻 In this program, residents train for a specific sport during on-site fitness classes 4x per year, then decide if they want take the extra leap (pun intended)! This first expedition required building up their leg and core strength, and future possibilities for both new and returning residents may include kayaking, indoor skydiving, rock climbing, and more!

𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 to Kelly Godfrey, Resident Care Coordinator for Lutheran Community at Telford's Healthcare neighborhood, on her recent certification in the LeadingAge "Fellows in Leadership" program! This curriculum guides new and experienced leaders alike in defining, clarifying and putting into practice the skills needed to lead organizations like ours into the future of senior care services.

Kelly graduated with this specialized training in June. 🎓 Thank you for striving for further professional growth that will help our community serve its residents to the fullest. We are SO proud of you! 👏🏻

June’s routine 𝐿𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑊𝑒𝑙𝑙 Cooking Demo was a little different this month! We were fortunate to have special guest Joel Umberger of P&G Trading Co , our longtime fish monger, join Corporate Exec. Chef Chris Goggins on campus at Lutheran Community at Telford today. The pair of culinary connoisseurs gave residents a behind-the-scenes look at their innovative partnership and shined a light on sustainable seafood sourcing against the economic challenges of today. Don’t forget the delicious samples and corresponding recipes (included as image) they provided to all who attended! 🐟

We would like to congratulate Lutheran Community at Telford resident and watercolor artist Walt LaForet (pictured) on a successful Art Gallery Opening this afternoon, followed by a lovely social hour and reception!

Walter says, "I have always liked art and did some oil painting when I was a teenager. Much later in life... I began painting with watercolor, in 2015. After a four-year hiatus, I started painting again this year, thanks to the watercolor group at LCT and Joyce Feindler, our group leader who is very encouraging. My paintings are inspired by... the landscapes of Bucks County and the picturesque countryside of the UK. Watercolor painting is a joy and relaxing when the colors flow just right! When they don't, well, let's just say it keeps me humble."
