Allow me to introduce myself and my business EquiVitae Equine.
But, before I share all of the details about the services that I offer. I wanted to share a bit of how this came to be.

I grew up in a horse racing family. My grandfather was a race horse trainer and owner since the 1960’s up until his last breath in 2000. He was an old school horseman. He touched all of his horses with his own hands. He loved each and every one of them. It was a family affair as my mother and my uncles all worked there throughout the years. My uncle Michael carried my grandfathers legacy as a trainer for a decade up until 2007. My uncle Nicky still works with them in Tampa.

I spent my summers in the grandstand and the backside as a young child. The scent of ci**rs and liniment are nostalgic to me. The roar of the crowds, the rustling of folded programs striking against the rail paired with the thunderous beating of hooves as the supreme 4 legged athletes turned for home is embedded in my memory forever. A baby railbird and I wouldn’t change a moment or trade those times for anything in this world.

2015, I adopted my first Ottb from Track to Tranquility. I found my heart horse and I gained a new lifetime friend. God! I wanted my own horse my whole life. Two years later my husband & I moved from the city to a home in NJ that we proudly named Bella Farms. That was the beginning of how my life began to transform and what led me to where I am today. I was a floral designer since 2007, some of you may have seen my work from time to time at equestrian events and on Turning for Home Day. I loved what I did and I was sure that I would spend the rest of my career days doing just that.

Then following TFH Day in 2019, I had a dream. This dream was so powerful that it left me with a random whim and filled me with such passion about something that I knew very little about. Perhaps it was a moment of pure insanity. However, If you know me this does not come as a surprise. If you don’t know me, I am such a person that if I want something bad enough I will educate myself with every tidbit of information to master it. I stop at nothing to conquer what I want. I will start from the bottom and work my ass off to accomplish what I want and I wanted to train race horses. I believe that female trainers have a special offering to the sport. A strength, a grace. I admired that.

I was a novice, green horse owner when I first adopted. I learned mostly on my own and I am still learning today. But the way I can bond with them, feel them, hear them. That comes from my grandfather. I started as a groom for Dee Curry. She trained my heart horse Aye Jay Power and I looked up to her for years before I ever met her. She experienced so much in all the years that she’s trained. Not to mention, The 4th woman in history to be invited to the 2019 Haskell Invitational. She is tough as nails but she patiently taught me, vetted me, had to scold me at times and has everything to do with leading me through this journey. Bethlehem Road also resides with me.

As a groom I fell in love with making my horses feel good. How important those modalities and techniques are. So ultimately I did not become a trainer. Today I am a certified in multiple therapies. Myofascial release & Craniosacral Massage, Kinesiology taping, Magnawave, Cryotherapy, red light therapy and Thermographic imaging. I am currently enrolled in Jochen Schleese’s saddle fit academy to become a licensed ergonomist. All of my services are mobile and my books are open for 2022. It’s a pleasure to formally introduce myself and I look forward to providing exceptional services to keep your equine partners feeling the best that they can.
As I work through the long list of administrative duties. Please pm any inquiries about pricing and scheduling via messenger. ❤️🐎🧲
