Just breathe, sweet soul. 🌬️
You don’t have to carry tomorrow today. You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Just sit in this moment, as it is, and know it’s enough.
You are held. You are loved. You are here. 🌼💙❤️💚

Sometimes, the world rushes to judge what it doesn’t understand.

But when we pause and choose curiosity over criticism, we make room for connection, compassion, and change. đź’›

Whether it’s a child’s unique way of expressing joy, a person’s quiet struggles, or a behavior shaped by disability or difference—let curiosity lead. Ask. Learn. See deeper.

Because judgment closes doors… but curiosity? Curiosity opens hearts.

Some shine boldly.
Some shine gently.
But shine we must—because the world needs all kinds of light. ✨💙❤️💚

As we raise and nurture unique souls in our family, we remind them (and ourselves):
You are kind.
You are enough.
You don’t have to be loud to be seen.
You don’t have to be perfect to be worthy.
Shine at your own pace. In your own way. And the right people will notice. 🌟

This moment. This breath. This place. 🌅

Happiness doesn’t wait for the perfect setting or a future day — it meets us right here, in the simple stillness of now.

Let’s stop chasing and start cherishing. ✨

As Walt Whitman reminds us:
"Happiness, not in another place but this place… not for another hour, but this hour." 🌼

“Because of your love, they believe in theirs.” 🌸

Today, we honor my husband, George — the wise, gentle, and endlessly devoted father who walks through life hand-in-hand with our three girls💕.

Whether he’s advocating at appointments, dancing in the kitchen, helping with homework, or offering quiet comfort in overwhelming moments — his steady presence is the anchor of our home.

Each of our daughters thrives under his love, but Ms. Alyssa, especially, shines in the warmth of his care. As her father, caregiver, and biggest champion, Doc has held her hand through storms and sunshine alike — always with grace, joy, and fierce devotion.

Happy Father’s Day, Doc.
For all that you do — and even more, for the heart with which you do it — thank you. 💛💙❤️💚

Some journeys don’t follow the expected timeline. Progress can be slow, uneven, or hidden in the smallest details. As caregivers and families of children with disabilities, we learn quickly that rushing leads to frustration, while presence invites peace.

There are days when it feels like nothing is changing — but then, one day, they make eye contact, try a new word, take a step, or offer a smile that says, “I’m trying, too.” That moment becomes everything.

The truth is, growth is happening, even when it’s quiet. And love, offered patiently, becomes the safest place for it to unfold. 🌼💙❤️💚

“To heal you have to get to the root of the wound and kiss it all the way up.” — Rupi Kaur 🌸

Grief doesn’t follow a script — especially for our children with disabilities, who often feel things more deeply, more spiritually, and in ways the world may not always understand💙❤️💚.

It’s been a year since we lost Ms Alyssa’s beloved paternal Grandpa, and she still visits his resting place each day that we are in the village in Nyahera, Kisumu. She stands there, quiet but present, sometimes crying softly, speaking to him in her own way. No pressure to perform. No timeline for healing. Just a sacred exchange between her heart and his memory.

Sometimes healing looks like talking to the one who’s gone. Sometimes it looks like standing still, feeling the ache, and honoring it. And sometimes, the most beautiful part of grief is how love keeps showing up, even when the person is no longer here physically. 💕
