Egg Whites CAN be a great ingredient for weight loss.
They're high in protein, low in calories.

BUT, when eating out cooks will add extra oil when cooking egg whites, because they stick to the pan like a bitch!

So instead, your best choice when eating out is poached eggs with a side of meat or cottage cheese. I do like to also get in some colorful fruit or veggies with breakfast!

A VERY Common Question that gets a VERY wide range of answers....

Why? Because the answer is going to be different for EVERYONE!!!

Guy or girl?
Age?
Height/Weight?
Activity Level?
Weight Training?
And much more!!!

BUT, you gotta start somewhere, and with the guys in my program I start with getting them over 100 grams per day, which just guys aren't doing!!

And that breaks down to 3 meals with over 30 grams per meal. 2 eggs is about 12g of protein.... Not even close

Personally I shoot for 200 grams per day, BUT, I'm a big guy over 200lbs and I lift weights 3-4 days per week.

I spend a whole week of my Fit20 Program teaching guys about what it means to prioritize protein and how to make it easy.

I've seen this type of recipe a few times, so I had to make a version for myself - I'LL BE MAKE THIS AGAIN!

THIS is what I would order if I was out to eat at my restaurant this weekend

Cioppino - a seafood stew in a fennel & tomato broth

Shellfish is a great protein source, rich in Omega 3 fats and many micronutrients like zinc, selenium and iodine

I would probably add a side salad to round out the meal

If you're trying to lose weight and eat out often, you can still make progress

BUT - I HIGHLY recommend planning ahead - check the menu online, know what you're going to order before you get there.

STOP Throwing away your brown bananas!!

🐵 I love having brown bananas, a great excuse to make a HEALTHY sweet treat like banana bread

2 bananas
2 cups oats
2 eggs
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/4 cup monk fruit sweetener
(or pure maple syrup)
Vanilla Protein Powder
Water
Salt
Baking powder
Optional, Chocolate Chips
Some cottage cheese will be visible, or you can blend everything together in food processor.

Cut into 9 squares
115 cal (without chocolate chips)

If You're a Guy Trying to Lose Weight the Answer is YES!

Do You Need to Eat Less Protein on a Cardio Day vs Lifting Day???

Following up on my post from yesterday, you need to CONSISTENTLY prioritize protein on a daily basis!

If you're doing resistance training, it takes your body 24-72 hours to fully rebuild the muscle! So you need to prioritize protein over those same 24-72 hours!!

The amino acids in the protein you eat are BUILDING BLOCKS for the new muscle your body is trying to build... As well as the fatty acids in the healthy fat sources.
