Alan Jamal Womack Jr., who was known as “Man-Man” to many, but most memorable as the loving son, grandson, brother, and uncle who could light up a room with his gregarious smile and contagious laughter, died February 28th, 2020, at the age of 28. Born September 24th, 1991, in Philadelphia, PA, Alan had four siblings (LaShawna, 33, Nadiyah, 23, Joshua, 20, and Hajj, 13). Alan graduated from Mathema

tics, Civics and Sciences Charter High School. His success in school extended beyond the classroom, in so much that he would earn a basketball scholarship to play in Boston, MA for Fisher College. Upon finishing his tenure in Boston, Alan would relocate to Philly, and begin working to help rehabilitate adjudicated teens. Liked, loved, and respected by many, Alan enjoyed vacationing, traveling, working out, eating at nice restaurants, spending time with family, staying well (physically and emotionally), and smelling good! To know Alan is to know a man who was selfless, playful, protective, determined, encouraging, loyal, and personable. A perfectionist to the tune that his home stayed spotless, his clothes, socks, and alike ironed, and his ability to make even the perfect stranger feel like family is a legacy and spirit that will keep him alive in our hearts!
