With less than 20 days left before the mobile services ban is set to take effect, we want to make sure that everyone is aware of the services that will be impacted.

If you're as angry about this as we are, please reach out to your city council member and tell them we want a permit process right now!

06/27/2025

After 5 years of serving our community, our work will become criminalized in 30 days. There is no permit process, despite countless requests for a protocol. Tell city council this is NOT OKAY!

Every June, we celebrate Pride & remember the Stonewall Riots which took place in New York City on June 28, 1968. Following ongoing abuse of LGBTQ+ individuals and raids on gay owned businesses, more than 2,000 individuals joined in solidarity against the systemic mistreatment of q***r folks.

The result was the creation of a mutual aid network providing access to services like health care, LGBTQ+ safe shelters, bail funds, advocacy and more.

The leaders of this movement are identified as Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. Instead of waiting for systems to change, they created their own means of supporting their community.

TEP is proud to continue their legacy by serving our community to the best of our ability, despite the constant barriers and lack of systemic support for people who use drugs.

The Parker Administration has lobbied for the introduction of PA Senate Bill 716 which would allow for people who use drugs to be placed into treatment against their will. This is not evidence based nor does it promote healthy long term outcomes for those with substance use disorders.

We strongly oppose senate bill 716 and urge you to PLEASE contact your local representative to voice your disagreement with this legislation!

Every Saturday for the past 5 years, we’ve shown up at this lot. Rain, snow, pandemic, extreme heat, severe cold, holidays, we show up. Folks know where to find us. They know that we’ll be there, the same faces, the same smiles, the same love, every Saturday.

It’s no secret that the city of Philadelphia has waged a war against people who use drugs. That includes outreach groups, which have been told the only place they’re allowed to serve is…the lot pictured above, which just happens to be home base for our Saturday outreach.

To say we were surprised to find it locked on Saturday morning would be a lie. Setting up on the sidewalk surrounding the lot made the day harder for us and for those we serve, but we made it work and we will continue to show up and make it work every week. We will continue to meet people where they are, and to advocate whenever and however we can.

Please join us. Volunteer, donate, or share because harm reduction saves lives.

The vote on the mobile services ban did not go as we had hoped and unfortunately, has language that could impact our Saturday outreach site, which, thanks to our Operations Manager .j.frey.7 refusing to let it die, has been running every single Saturday for the past 5+ years. Tomorrow is the 263rd consecutive week that we have shown up for our community and those in need. We have distributed more than 6.5 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD to our community.

And in 60 days, that will be considered a criminal act. We will be breaking the law by serving the most vulnerable people in Philadelphia.

We will continue to show up, to serve, and to fight. We will need your help to do it.

All we have is each other.
