Say hello to Shannon (aka the office mom), the warm and welcoming face behind First Impressions here at Shafer Vision Institute!

Dr. Shafer and Shannon started their journey together back in 2021. She’s made it her mission to ensure every patient feels like they belong. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, she’s here to make you feel right at home. 💙

Outside the office, she loves spending time with her family and friends, being a proud wife and aunt, and caring for her two adorable cats, Brady & Belle 🐱. Shannon spreads kindness wherever she goes, she has the biggest heart and cares so deeply about everyone around her!

Say hello to Morgan, our amazing Research Coordinator!

She got her start in ophthalmology at the front desk in her early 20s and quickly discovered a real passion for the field. After years in clinical work and four as a surgical coordinator, she’s now excited to begin a new chapter at SVI and contributing to meaningful advancements in eye health.

A proud North Penn grad, she’s happily married to her husband, Keaton. Outside of work, you can find them exploring with their dog or working on their 113 year old home. 🐾🏡

Say hello to Megan, our incredible Office Manager!
Megan became SVI’s first official employee and has worn many hats since the doors have opened. She keeps our office running smoothly every day and is amazing at what she does. She always makes sure both our patients and team feel cared for and supported.

Her love for ophthalmology is personal, inspired by a life-changing experience when an ophthalmologist once saved her mom from what could have been a potential tragedy. Outside of work, Megan enjoys being outside, live music, art and spending time with her family

Say hi to Corrina, one of our incredible ophthalmic technicians here at SVI! Her journey in eye care started over 20 years ago and quickly grew into a lifelong passion. When she’s not helping patients, you can find her power walking, cooking, crafting, enjoying trips to the shore and going out with friends and family.

She is also a proud mom of her son who is a volunteer firefighter looking to build further experiences with emergency dispatch. 💙

Say hello to Kyrstin, she has 10 years of experience being an Ophthalmic Technician and recently stepped into the role of Surgical Coordinator at SVI. In her new role, she helps guide patients through their surgical journey, making sure every step is smooth, comfortable, and personalized.

Outside the office, you’ll find her with a good book and her two cats, traveling with her husband, or cheering on Philadelphia sports teams. She’s also a proud Swiftie!
