This came across my feed. I'm sure we've all seen inspirational posts that make us stop and think, and some we don't allow to pe*****te our consciousness.

We're bombarded with lots of negativity today, but your algorithm will always feed you that with which you resonate right now.

And I'm not just talking about your social media feed.

Your entire reality works this way. Energy flows where attention goes....

What are you clicking on and what are your scrolling past? On your screens and in your mind?

If you have unacknowledged fear, it will wield its power over you in every area of your life that you allow it to take hold, and it first claims your thoughts, hijacking your awareness and turning it against you.

Notice how you are moving through your life and the thoughts that come through.

What feelings are a reaction to those thoughts?

Pay close attention to your visceral reactions to people. To THEIR reactions. To world events.

If it is causing you distress, or strife, or any unpleasant feeling at all, see that as a call to action.

That emotional reaction is coming from you. Not from those external sources. It originates from the multitude of experiences in your life that have informed your entire character and personality.

That's why you and I will react differently to the same thing.

We're all human and we're all afraid of something... Confrontation, embarrassment, being devalued, feeling unloved, losing our possessions, losing loved ones, failure, success, illness, death...

The challenge is not in attempting to eliminate the fear but to unearth whatever wounds caused the fear in the first place.

And then question.

Question the beliefs that dictate your every day choices. Were they passed down to you from parents or authority figures that you took for truth and integrated into your being?

Do they still make sense for you and your life? Were they ever truly rooted in a truth that resonates with the best version of yourself?

Read these statements and really let them sink in.

Are you truly living your life or are you living what you think life is supposed to be?

🗣️Why HTMA Can Be Instrumental in Improving Your Health

Maybe a bold statement to some....So my disclaimer:

I'm no doctor. I didn't go to medical school. I don't know everything.

With that out of the way, I'm going to explain how and why I might be able to help you when conventional medicine hasn't.

The model of our healthcare system is like a patient mill: you're scheduled into a busy day among a sea of others also in need of care.

In most cases, you're ushered in, your symptoms reviewed, maybe some lab tests are run, and either a diagnosis is offered and you're sent home with a prescription, or you walk out the door with a big question mark still hovering over your head.

Medical professionals in this setting don't have the time, energy, or resources to dig into your case, your history, or put the puzzle pieces together.

They rarely even have the time to SEARCH for the puzzle pieces (there are always exceptions).

Because of the frustration this causes, folks have started to seek alternative care, often through functional medicine or naturopathy.

So many, in fact, that it sounds like these practices are having a hard time managing their case load & providing personalized care.

My role is to navigate you on a genuine healing journey.

This usually begins with Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis, but not required.

Pro tip of the day: check your bathroom fans!

This was 20 years of fossilized dust I imagine was never even attempted to be cleaned. It took a vacuum, a rag, and ten minutes to get it all off. 🤢

If you find you sneeze and wheeze more in your own home or in certain rooms than others check for the dust culprits:

🪬Top of door frames, picture frames, thermostats, TVs
🪬 Window sill and baseboards
🪬 Corners of rooms where ceiling meets wall
🪬 High light fixtures
🪬 Fabric bedframes, couches, chairs
🪬 Drapes/curtains/valances/fabric shower curtains you've never washed
🪬 Your old vacuum!
🪬I hope I don't have to tell you--your HVAC return filters

I use metal reusable, cleanable filters that you can search and order on Amazon. Keep two for each return, wash one with a hose outside, replace with the clean one while the other dries (it takes a while). If you stay in your home longer than I ever do 🤣 these will pay for themselves in two years. A little extra work, yes, but not by much.

Our Story

With over 15 years of personal training and professional fitness experience, I offer my services locally in Richmond Va to in-home clientele and in my home studio. Additionally, I am available for distance training via video call! I cater to all ages, body types and fitness levels, but specialize in corrective exercise, pre-/postpartum fitness and bridging the transition from physical therapy into a strength routine.

My other areas of expertise and interest include barefoot running and training, fat loss and balance training. Whatever your goals and current fitness experience, my mission is to help you to connect with your body and make healthy movement a permanent part of your life.
