Nobody sits you down and teaches you the language of your own inner world.

Not in school. Not at home. Not in any of the places that were supposed to prepare you for life.

So most of us grow up fluent in everything except ourselves.

We learn to read. To write. To work. To show up.
But nobody teaches us what a trigger actually is, or why certain moments crack us open in ways we can't explain.
Nobody teaches us about the window of tolerance, or why we go numb when things get too hard.
Nobody teaches us that the tension we carry in our shoulders has a name, a history, a reason.
Nobody teaches us that boundaries aren't walls, they're the quiet way we tell the world what we need to feel safe.

And so we move through life calling ourselves broken, oversensitive, too much, when really, we were just never given the words.

Therapy gives you the words.

It teaches you a language that makes the confusing parts of yourself finally make sense. Not to fix you, but to help you understand yourself deeply enough that healing becomes possible.

At Growth thru Change, this is what we believe in. Not just treating symptoms — but handing you a vocabulary for your own inner life, so you're never left searching for words again.

Save this carousel. Come back to it. Share it with someone who's been feeling things they can't yet name.

Burnout isn’t just about doing too much. It’s what happens when you’ve been pushing past your own limits for too long, ignoring the part of you that quietly knew this wasn’t sustainable.

That voice isn’t weakness. It isn’t anxiety. It’s self-awareness trying to protect you.

And the anxiety you feel? It’s not you falling apart. It’s what it sounds like when someone has been holding everything together alone for far too long.

You don’t need to push through it.
You need to finally listen.

Because healing doesn’t start when you do less.
It starts when you begin hearing yourself again.

Before you say a single word in therapy, the room has already said something to you.

It says: you're safe here.
It says: you don't have to hold it together.
It says: this hour belongs entirely to you.

The soft lighting isn't accidental. The blanket on the chair isn't decorative. The tissue box isn't an afterthought. The two chairs facing each other aren't just furniture.

Every single thing in a therapy room is a quiet decision made on your behalf, before you even walked through the door.

Because the truth is, for a lot of people, a therapy room is the first place they've ever been where nothing is expected of them. No performance. No holding it together. No being fine for the sake of someone else.

Just you. As you are. In a space that was built to hold that.

At Growth thru Change, we think about this a lot, what it feels like to walk into a space and immediately feel like you can breathe. Because that feeling? That's not a coincidence. That's care made physical.

If you've ever been curious about what therapy actually feels like, this is where it starts. Not on the couch. Not in the conversation. But in the quiet of a room that was ready for you before you arrived.

The door is open. We're here when you are. Link in bio.

"Oh you're in therapy? That's great!"
Yes. And also:

I'm grieving relationships I thought were love.
I'm learning that how I grew up wasn't entirely normal.
I'm sitting with feelings I spent years running from.
I'm rebuilding my sense of self from the ground up.
Therapy isn't just a weekly appointment.
It's some of the hardest, most disorienting, most necessary work a person can do.

So if someone in your life is "just going to therapy"
please know there is an entire ocean underneath that. 🌊
And if you're the one doing the deep work right now, I hope you know how brave that actually is.

'Just think positive.'
'Other people have it worse.'
'You just need to keep yourself busy.'

We've all heard it. Most of us have even nodded along, because the person saying it loves us and we didn't want to make them feel bad for trying.

But here's what that advice quietly does over time:

It teaches you that your feelings are a problem to be solved, not information to be understood. It teaches you to compare your pain away instead of processing it. It teaches you that healing is something you push through, not something you actually work on.

And none of that is the fault of the people who said it. They were doing what they knew. What they were taught. What someone probably said to them once.

But you don't have to keep passing it on.

Some advice genuinely helps: movement, connection, getting your thoughts out of your head. These things matter. But they work best when they're part of real support, not a substitute for it.

At Growth thru Change, we're here to give you something better than well-meaning guesses. We're here to do the actual work, with you, for you, at your pace.

Because 'just let it go' was never going to cut it. And somewhere inside, you already knew that.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Angry and still soft.

Exhausted and still here.

All of these parts are allowed to exist at once — none of them are wrong, none of them are too much. They're just different rooms in the same house, all trying to make sense of something heavy.

If you're in one of these places today, I just want you to know — you don't have to fix it, explain it, or push through it alone.

You're allowed to just be where you are.

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵.

Most of the time, it looks like a Tuesday where you didn't shrink yourself to make someone else comfortable. Or a moment where you felt the anger and didn't immediately apologize for having it.

Therapy isn't always tears and revelations. Sometimes it's just… noticing. Practicing. Trying again.

The small shifts are the real ones.

They don't make good movies, but they change your life.

If you're in the quiet, unglamorous middle of your healing, I see you. Keep going.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.

The same parts of you that show up in your life

your trust, your hesitation, your need for connection

they show up here too.

And that’s where the work begins.

Not just in what’s said,

but in what’s felt, noticed, and experienced between two people.

If you’ve ever wondered why therapy feels deeper over time, this is why.

Breakups don’t just take a person away—they take routines, comfort, and a part of who you were with them.

That’s why loneliness can feel so intense. It’s not weakness, it’s your mind adjusting to loss. Healing takes time, but you don’t have to do it alone. And if it starts feeling too heavy, talking to a therapist can be the first step toward finding yourself again.

You’re not judged.

And you don’t have to explain your entire life story in one hour.

Most first sessions focus on:

• understanding what brings you in

• exploring patterns in your life

• discussing what kind of support might help

Therapy is a conversation, not an interrogation.

And you’re always in control of the pace.

One of the most common things therapists hear from new clients is:

“I wish I started therapy earlier.”

Many people wait years before reaching out.

Not because they don’t need support.

But because they believe things like:

“I should be able to handle this myself.”

“Other people have it worse.”

“It’s not bad enough yet.”

The truth is therapy isn’t only for crisis.

It can also be for:

• understanding yourself
• improving relationships
• breaking repeating patterns
• feeling more present in your life

You don’t need to be falling apart to deserve support.

Sometimes growth simply starts with curiosity about yourself.
