Food for thought ! Did you know that deep squat positions are best prior to the pushing stage to open the pelvic inlet. But more neutral / knees closed even open the pelvic outlet when baby is low and you are in the pushing stage.

Oftentimes we assume that hiking our legs up to our ears like we see in movies is the way to go. But it’s really not. Actually it’s ideal to be off your back completely and in a nice all 4’a position with knees either neutral (following instincts) or knees closed and ankles open.

Next time you take a 💩 realize that all the same muscles are used to push a baby out so maybe visualize this when your preparing for labor 💫

➡️Take a Breastfeeding Class (we have a self paced option and private classes often insurance covered)
➡️Set up care with an LC asap!
➡️Your support people in the postpartum MUST be supportive and willing to learn.

Continuity of care is super important over here at Born With Love Doulas ! When I know a client is seeking birth doula support as well as postpartum care, I try to meet those needs with the same exceptional doula on the team! Our small team of doulas are currently all experienced! I bring on only one newer doula at a time to help her gain tools and gain experience so you know you are getting the best care out there !
