It may be snowy, but I’m looking ahead to Spring my friends :) I am looking to fill a part-time position for the 2026 season at the Terra Luna farm in Philly. A few quick details:

-15hrs per week (likely 3 days, 5hr shifts) Position will begin in late March and end in early November (with possibility of continuing to 2027!)

-Responsibilities will focus on assisting with weekly harvests, general farm maintenance (weeding, planting, fertilizing) + occasional deliveries.

-Must have own vehicle for transportation.

-Must we willing to work early shifts (sometimes we start as early as 6:30 in the heat of the Summer) + in uncomfortable weather (Summer heat and the late Fall chill)

-Farming experience is a big plus, but not required.

If you are interested, please send a cover letter and resume to Elise@terralunaherbals.com - we will reach out with further details and/or to schedule a formal interview if your initial inquiry seems like a good fit.

Marigolds for the win!! This flower has won me over completely. Maybe it’s the cold and snow, but I can’t wait to get my hands on these sunny blooms again next year :) (And p.s. we still have some garlands and natural dye kits in the webshop if you need a floral pick me up during the winter vortex ☀️)

Winter may not be a “productive” time on the farm, but it sure is beautiful. I was slipping and sliding all over the icy field, but I was pleasantly surprised to see our frost cloth intact after a windy and snowy few days. 💪

The story

Terra Luna was born in the Spring of 2012 as a passion project by founder and now herbalist Elise Hanks. Rooted as a Philadelphia based floral designer and avid gardener, she was searching for a deeper way to connect with nature in an urban setting. Elise began to experiment with herbal remedies for personal use, which ultimately led her to further her education and develop her own recipes. Pulling from her past experiences working on flower and vegetable farms, she was determined to create a green space to harvest her own ingredients. With the help of a local landscape designer and community support, 2016 was the first full growing season in the Terra Luna garden. With the garden now complete, her goal to offer cure-alls that come full circle, from seed to final product, can now be achieved. She hasn’t forgotten her floral roots either, offering design and consultation services for floral and garden needs. Focusing on plant-based healing and thoughtful floral design, Elise hopes to coax a bit of green out of this concrete jungle.
