Important to remember: Parents know all too well that certain sugar-infused activities, like gorging on candy on Halloween night, can bring out a kid’s wild side. But the “sugar high” myth has been debunked; there’s no evidence that sugar can influence a child’s behavior or cognitive function, or make a child hyperactive.(NYT)

Please consider donating to ISRAEL at this time of need. If you give to Magen David (the Israeli Red Cross), Michael Bloomberg is matching dollar for dollar. My friend's son is in Israel; he can accept VENMO -Reich-2....he's helping everyone he can. Thank you!

Quote from Joan Baez in the New Yorker magazine: I can say this—I was living from one panic attack to another, always thinking, This could be the last one. I could be O.K. from here on out.

Kudos to my mom, who realized that something had to be done. Therapy was helpful from the first day—just that somebody was hearing me. I would encourage anybody to seek help as soon as you freak out, panic, think you can’t handle it. Or even if you handle it well, just talk to somebody.
