A few of our residents joined in for our new Monthly Uncorked program, where we sampled and savored three distinct wines. Together, we compared the color, aroma, and taste, sharing what we enjoyed (and didn’t) about every sip. Naturally, we complemented the experience with delicious cheese and crackers between tastings, adding an extra indulgence to the afternoon.

As a lifelong lover of learning, history, architecture, and the city, I took Winnie on a special birthday adventure—a Philadelphia Bus Tour. To her delight, we surprised her by inviting her son and daughter-in-law along for the ride. Our professional guide shared fascinating stories, both old and new, as we explored the city starting at Independence Visitor Center. We made 25 stops, including the Betsy Ross House, the famous 'Thinker' statue, the 'Rocky Steps' at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Broad and South Streets. One fun fact we learned was that actor Kevin Bacon’s father, Edmund Bacon, was the designer of Love Park. It was a beautiful, adventurous day in the city of brotherly love! Winnie was overjoyed and couldn't stop raving to her friends and staff the next day about the unforgettable experience.

On Tuesday, we celebrated the end of summer with a fantastic NALW Beach Party Clam Bake! 🦪🍝 Residents enjoyed fresh clam linguine, lemon herb po***ck with wild rice and Brussels sprouts, and toasted with homemade sangria and lemonade. The fun continued with lively tunes and dancing to Elvis Impersonator Jeff Krick! 🎤💃 A perfect day of delicious food and unforgettable entertainment! 🌟🍹

Thursday afternoon was all about fun and relaxation for our amazing staff! 🌟 Each team member received a goodie bag of treats and a travel mug to decorate with their favorite positive quotes. Inside, a masseuse created a serene space with calming scents and sounds for some well-deserved pampering. Outside on the patio, everyone enjoyed building their own beef or chicken cheesesteaks with all the fixings. And to top it all off, they had a blast getting their caricatures done by Miriam! 🎨🍔🧘‍♂️
