There's a saying that small business owners quit their 9-5 jobs to work 24/7.

Everyone has their own why - whether it be flexibility in hours, their family, doing new things etc, we all face the same issues - working hard to launch our business, keep it running & of course, be profitable.

For me, having worked in the corporate world & many other jobs as I raised my kids, it was also showing them & myself that if you put your mind to something & the drive & passion is there, you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to.

Owning a business can definitely be a roller coaster but we continue to do it, helping our clients to be the best versions of themselves because they can focus on what's important knowing their homes are in order.

Absolutely blessed to say I love what I do. 🖤

Basement storage can be a little tricky.

Is it a finished basement? Dirt floor or partially finished?

Here, our client who is also a small business owner used her basement as storage for holiday decor, tools, overstock work items and past files.

Boxes of important files were stacked on the ground & with this not being a fully finished basement, some boxes were damaged due to dampness.

We sorted through every box & used a nook in the basement as a perfect storage area since a lot of those items were being donated.

By getting these boxes off of the floor & onto a rack, my client has peace of mind knowing they are protected & she can access any file with ease 🗂️

It's easy to let these spaces go & not be a priority especially when you can just close the door 🚪

Can I just say how much I love working in home offices??

Organizing paperwork & setting up systems for files, reference material, important paperwork etc. gives me life 🔥

Here, our client travels a lot! Her office space sometimes becomes a dumping ground of notes, forms, files & more.

She had plenty of space to create an organized work space. Sorting everything into categories helped with setting up the proper systems needed for her day to day run smoothly.

Using a mix of bins, boxes (most of which she already had) & these great labels from , her office is now a functional & calming space & retreat in between work trips 🗄️

This was a whirlwind of a project! Started off with an in home consultation of their home & coming up with some functional storage solutions.

Then, a text saying change of plans, they're purchasing a home & I stopped over on the day of settlement for another consultation 🙂

We planned on working in the garage first to get everything set up. I designed a wall system & handyman Scott installed that & worked on a few other projects. Also tackled the laundry closet & gave ideas on some other areas of the home. All in a little over 4 hours! The husband was sold & showed me the basement & excited about more storage opportunities 😀

Can't wait to work with them again once they're all settled in 🖤✨🪄
