PASCRS Preservation Fund

The Pennsylvania Colorectal Society is the oldest regional Colorectal Society in the United States. It has enjoyed a wonderful tradition dating back almost 100 years!

In 1929 Dr. Harry E. bacon conceived a plan of organizing a local society for dissemination the knowledge of diseases of the colon and re**um, and in 1932 it was officially incorporated.

The multiple meetings at the Philadelphia Union League have become a mainstay and much-anticipated events. Each year, the President-Elect of ASCRS traditionally speaks at the Bacon Oration. Like in many regional societies, declining membership activity, and decreased support from industry have put a financial strain on the PASCRS, and have threatened the sustainability of our wonderful society.

In a gesture of amazing generosity, one anonymous senior member has decided to make an amazing leap towards ensuring the continued future of the PASCRS.

This member has pledged to match donations UP TO $100,000 (!) towards ensuring the continued success of the Pennsylvania Society of Colon and Re**al Surgeons!

So if our wonderful society has given you opportunities for learning, camaraderie and growth, PLEASE ANSWER THIS CHALLENGE!
