This photo popped up in my memories and hit me right in the soul.

I thank God / Source / Universe every day for the little kid in this pic—now a full-on young adult. He’s always been my WHY. But healing for him meant I had to choose me first.

I had to walk away from toxic relationships.
I had to learn to live on my own—without a drink, without a partner, without family nearby.
It was lonely sometimes. But it saved my life.

It’s okay to feel the feels without numbing. That’s where the healing happens. And it’s so worth it.

I used to sleepwalk through life…
Just trying to make it through the day until I could pour a drink, numb out, and blackout.

But today… no filter. No edits.
Just real light, real healing, real me.

My eyes are clear.
The whites of my eyes are actually white.
I’m awake.
I’m alive.
I’m alert.
I’m FREE.

I don’t crave chaos.
I don’t need material things.
Give me love, soul-aligned friends, family who gets me, and a path of growth and ascension — and I’m good.

This is what sober joy looks like.
This is what healing feels like.
And I’m not going back. 💫
