Before the school year came to a close, we had the joy of welcoming the amazing students from Goodnoe Elementary School — and they truly brought sunshine to our seniors!

🌟 The 4th grade music students sang fun carnival tunes and amazed us all by naming all 50 states — by heart!
🎭 The talented 5th grade theater students performed a scene from Oliver! and absolutely stole the show.
🎶 And the Goodnoe choir filled our halls with music and smiles that still linger.

Goodnoe has long been a bright part of our intergenerational connections — from Halloween parades and holiday cards to musical visits like these. We’re so grateful for the joy, energy, and kindness these students bring to our community. What a perfect way to dive into the summer! 💚💙

💐🎶 Here comes the Bride… and a beautiful afternoon of music!
In June, our residents enjoyed a special “June Wedding” performance by Cindy McGrath of Music in Living. Playing both piano and flute, Cindy brought elegance and joy to the day with her themed program — and she had everyone smiling!

We loved seeing our residents light up with memories and laughter. Big thanks to Cindy for creating such a meaningful and heartfelt experience!

Our residents made the most of the shift into summer with creative activities, festive celebrations, and plenty of smiles 😄☀️ From tie-dye fun 🎨 to a “beach day” on the patio 🏖️, there’s been no shortage of joy and good times.

We also loved a visit from Cole 👋—one of our longtime volunteers who’s now part of our dietary team! It’s always special when familiar faces come back to spend time with our residents 💙💚

From honoring our incredible team during Nurses Week (May) and Nursing Assistants/CNA Appreciation Week (June), this past month Pickering Manor has been full of heart.

We celebrated our Nurses and Nursing Assistants/CNAs together, recognizing the compassionate care they provide each and every day.
