This could happen in any older cemetery, and we've been lucky to this point. PLEASE PEOPLE, if and when visiting Palmer Cemetery, stay clear of the old large stones throughout the cemetery. If you're accompanied by youngsters, please keep them near you and always be careful of where you are stepping.
We do our best to address loose headstones and monuments. We do backfill holes that may open when we find them. But we cannot be 100% in an almost 300 year old cemetery.
Please understand that we do our best in maintaining the grounds. We do so with small donation, semi annual fundraisers and grants when available. We are a not for profit group, with 100% of what comes in going back into the cemetery.
Thank you to all who support our work and to those who help us. If interested in making a donation, please refer to our webpage at www.Palmercemeteryfishtown.org, or send a fully tax deductible donation to us at:

Thanks again. Have a safe and enjoyable summer.
