Yesterday was full of smiles at Windy Hill. Our first gentleman’s luncheon was a big hit—the guys are already asking to make it a monthly event. Later in the day, the ice cream truck stopped by to treat both our PC and SNF residents on a very hot afternoon. Great company, good food, and sweet treats made for a perfect summer day.

This week, Ruth MacCarthy, horticulturist at Cathedral Village, Philadelphia, visited her sister community, Pine Run Village, Doylestown, as a guest speaker for their Pine Run University series. This series is a week-long celebration of lifelong learning and enrichment.

Ruth’s passion and expertise brought fresh insight to Pine Run residents, and we’re proud to see how our communities support and inspire one another.

We had a wonderful turnout for our July Wellness Class, with residents enjoying a vibrant Asparagus Salad with Watermelon Radish and Fresh Avocado Dressing. It was a beautiful as it was delicious.

At Westminster Woods, wellness means nourishing your body and soul with fresh ingredients, good company and a splash of creativity.

Independent living residents at Presbyterian Village, Hollidaysburg, PA, enjoyed an unforgettable day trip on the historic Everett Railroad

Residents enjoyed the scenic summer picnic excursion, stopping at Roaring Spring Dam for a relaxing picnic lunch before returning to Hollidaysburg .

The smiles and laughter said it all! What a perfect day filled with friendship, scenic views and wonderful memories.

Pine Run Lakeview Personal Care was proud to treat their local heroes in Doylestown, PA, to a well-deserved breakfast!

They partnered with The Bagel Barrel in Doylestown and Yum Yum Donuts in Colmar to deliver delicious grab-and-go meals to our community’s first responders.

A Big Thank You to the police officers, firefighters and EMTs who show up for us every day.

The amazing Kirkland Village team, Bethlehem, PA, recently hosted a car wash fundraiser in support of their Community Enhancement Fund.

Residents, team members and visitors all joined in the fun. Whether lending a hand, getting their cars washed, or enjoying the weather, the morning was filled with community spirit, basket raffles, and delicious walking tacos and hot dogs to-go!

It's days like these that highlight the strong connections and shared purpose within our community. Thank you to everyone who made today such a success! 🚗💦💜

Kirkland Village team members Staci Warsaw and Ashley Harlacher recently joined an incredible group of volunteers at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania to help pack hundreds of boxes filled with healthy, nourishing food for families across Northampton, Lehigh, Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties.

Staci and Ashley worked the PM shift. Both AM and PM shifts packed 16 pallets, 640 boxes for a total of 19,840 pounds per shift. This vital work at Second Harvest is only possible because of the power of community.

Staci is Executive Director and Ashley is Nursing Home Administrator at Kirkland Village, Bethlehem, PA. We’re proud of and grateful to them for stepping up to support this important cause and representing Kirkland Village with compassion and care. Thank you both—and to all who give their time to strengthen our communities.

After a lovely women’s luncheon, our residents turned up the fun with a water balloon battle right on the porch! 💦💐 Laughter echoed as balloons flew, and everyone soaked up the sun to dry off and unwind. A perfect summer afternoon!

PSL celebrated Diane Dantos, Volunteer extraordinaire and PSL Altruism Award winner for 2025, with a lunch for her and her family on July 10 at the Presbyterian Village of Hollidaysburg.

Diane volunteers daily from early in the morning (sometimes before 7am) until after lunch Monday through Friday enriching the lives of the residents in the personal care home. She brings purpose, meaning, friendship and laughter to their lives through her companionship, trivia, movement, song, stories, prayer, games and sharing of meals. She loves "spending time with her girls" and they look forward to spending time with her. She has been volunteering selflessly since June of 2020.

PSL, the team and residents at Presbyterian Village and all who have met Diane are lucky to not just call her a friend, but to call her family. You can't help but smile when you are near Diane. Diane, we are blessed to have you in our lives!
