Warrior Strength and Healing Be a Warrior. Pick up your sword & shield, and FIGHT! One year ago, my family's world changed. He has proven to be a true warrior in every respect.

My brother, (a great father, son, and uncle), suffered a debilitating stroke - precipitated by a weightlifting injury. He has always been a very driven individual who succeeded no matter the obstacle put in his path. He has the opportunity to be a part of a world-class injury rehab program with amazing therapists and trainers, and we'd love to help get him there! His love of the gym and determination to succeed are the inspiration behind these wrist wraps. Proceeds from the purchase of these wrist wraps will help fund his continuing physical and occupational therapy. He WILL lift again!

** About the wraps:
The wraps are made of high-quality cotton with two layers of internal stabilization. There are no external seams - therefore, no raveling and fraying threads. All internal seams are double-stitched for added support.

Don't be afraid to step outside of your . This physique is definitely not built for or bouldering, but it was so fun to play outside on the rocks on a beautiful day. Self-preservation kicks in when you know how hard the landing could be! 😂
Seriously, there are so many ways to include fitness in your day - put your mind to it and you'll find more than you can imagine! I'm constantly looking for things to do when we're out . It just adds to the enjoyment (and you just might pick up some new along the way)!

Mother/Daughter at to start the day. As my orthopaedic likes to remind me "There's only so much tread on those tires." ⚙️ Take the time to get as many miles as you can out of those joints! Flossing, buffering (yes, that's a car buffer 🚗), and body tempering are just a few of the ways mobility sessions can help. This is one of the ingredients in my recipe for longevity on a wonky shoulder! Product plug for the by - best seat in the gym - benching, tempering, you name it!

We just surprised Brian Welden with a new fundraiser in an effort to keep his progress going! He has seen some amazing progress over the past several months, and thank you all for having played a pivotal role in making this happen!

In an effort to help him get even further (and on his feet!!), some of his high school classmates got together and came up with an amazing idea! The print that is being sold was created in 1981 as Alison Berg Barlow's Senior art project, and it is absolutely stunning! The detail is amazingly intricate! For those of you who don't know, the Big Red Indian is our high school mascot.

A huge thanks to J.c. Lightner for spearheading and marketing this venture and Jay Johnson for creating the flyer and having the prints reproduced!

Please take a look, and feel free to share! There are a limited amount of the signed and numbered prints being offered.

Any graduate of Parkersburg High School would love this!

It's been ages since updating this page, so I thought I'd post some shots from Brian Welden's first trip away from home since the stroke over two years ago. I think this is just what he (and his family) needed - and deserved! I think his smile says it all!
Brian is still in various therapies just about every day of the week and is showing some serious progress. I know he's anxious to get out of that wheelchair, and he's getting so much closer!
As always, his positive attitude works wonders!

If you are in the Vienna/Parkersburg, WV area this weekend, please make sure to stop by Wayside United Methodist Church to take part in this amazing fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit Brian's continuing therapy through Barwis Methods First Step Foundation. Let's help get him back on his feet! Thank you to all involved!

THIS is why I love my hometown. Fundraising efforts continue for Brian Welden, and my parents' church family (and the one in which we were raised) has stepped forward with a fundraising dinner. Local restaurants are donating items, local businesses are advertising, and the wonderful people of the church are donating and baking up a storm. I bet the desserts will be top notch (just like all of the folks involved in this amazing effort)! Thank you, State Farm!
❤ Best. Hometown. Ever.

A HUGE thanks to all of you for all of your support, from product sales, donations, words of encouragement, greeting cards sent to Brian, etc.
He truly does have the best support system!
P.S. His 45 # Bear Squat PR was a sight to see! (for 10 reps, I might add!)

I've heard from a few of you requesting more shirts. It's not too late if you want in!
