Brielle Smith, MA (she/her)
For as long as I can remember, I was often the friend or teammate who people knew they could
go to when things got hard—the one who listened, who shared words of encouragement and
hope, who asked questions, who had their back, and who genuinely cared. I didn’t always have
the answers, but I was always willing to sit with someone in their pain and help them figure out
what they want in life.
I believe we are all just trying to have a good time in life—to find joy, to feel connected, to
make sense of things. But life can be heavy and messy sometimes, and we can feel stuck,
overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward.
That’s where therapy comes in.
And that’s why I became a therapist. I believe healing starts when we feel truly seen, heard, and
valued. My goal is to create that space for you, one where you can show up as your full,
complex self without fear of judgment.
It’s not always easy, but you don’t have to go through it alone. I really believe in the power of
having someone in your corner, helping you untangle things and move forward with more
clarity and self-compassion. I am here to support you in doing the work—whether that’s
healing, growing, sitting with difficult emotions, setting boundaries, or just figuring out who you
are and what you want.
I earned my Bachelor;s degree in Sociology with a minor in Philosophy from Dickinson College,
and my Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. I’m
currently working toward licensure as a clinical mental health counselor. Over the past five
years, I have worked in various roles within the mental health field, supporting individuals from
all walks of life.
Each person is unique, and your therapy should be, too. My approach to therapy is holistic,
collaborative, and tailored to you. I take a holistic approach to therapy, integrating evidence-
based practices from CBT, DBT, ACT, narrative therapy, strengths-based, neurodivergent-
affirming, identity-affirming, and trauma-informed frameworks. I work with the whole
person—honoring your differences, strengths, and the unique perspective you bring to the
world.
Therapy doesn't have to be heavy or overly clinical all the time. Sometimes it’s about laughing
at the absurd parts of being human, or finally letting go of something that’s been weighing you
down. Therapy is about showing up, exploring what matters, and giving yourself permission to
evolve. Together, we’ll find what works for you.
