Today we would like to share a special Employee Spotlight from one of our team members, Matthew Connolly!

"I am Matthew Connolly and have been working as the Controller at Amramp for the past two years. Beside my passion for accounting, two of my passions outside of work are baseball and music.

The importance and application of our core values, trust, teamwork, and performance can be found on the baseball diamond. I have been a Red Sox fan since attending my first game at Fenway Park with my dad and grandfather, now I am lucky enough to have a share of season tickets in Left Field seats. My grandfather was my biggest fan and attended as many of my games as he could. Like many of our customers, late in his life, he faced mobility issues, making it challenging to attend my games and join family event in his wheelchair. My uncle built a wooden ramp so we were able to get my grandfather into his house family gatherings. I cannot say the ramp was ADA compliant but it did allow us all to spend holidays and celebrations together as a family.

Another passion of mine is music. Along with playing the guitar, drums and tin whistle, I enjoy attending concerts. I enjoy it so much that it was challenging to remember all the concerts I had attended. Of course, as an accountant, my solution was a spreadsheet. Fortuitously, I learned many of the formulas I use daily in Excel from the work I put in that spreadsheet I started 20 plus years ago. Best of all I now have a complete list of all concerts I have seen since my first, Woodstock ‘99.

If you were wondering, I have seen 436 concerts, at 112 venues, in 73 cities, and 22 states. My favorite music venues are Red Rocks in CO and Madison Square Garden in NYC. I look forward to seeing my 54th concert at MSG later this year."
