Meals to Medical - We are feeding the fight with local restaurant delivery to local healthcare workers.
The anticipated spread of COVID-19 is placing historic economic hardships on local restaurants and eateries throughout Moore County.
At the same time, our local health care system is on the front line of this crisis. Nurses, doctors and other health care providers and workers are facing mounting physical and emotional demands as COVID-19 threatens to stretch our health systems far beyond capacity.
Unlike many of us, there is no shelter in place option for our doctors, nurses and other medical personnel, they must continue to provide health care services 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
In response to this crisis, I have set up a partnership with members of the medical community to develop a program, Meals to Medical, to provide donated healthy meals prepared by local restaurants to local health care staff.
