What a day!! Big PR sneaking in sub 3:45 šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰ The delivered in all the ways- beautiful course, supportive community, and the cutest town of Corning that goes all out for the runners all weekend. Thank you for all of the amazing texts and DMs today- it truly means a lot to feel so much love and support when going after big goals. Gearing up to run the tomorrow!! While I certainly have personal goals (sub-4 cough cough), tomorrow is NOT about me. It’s for the children of who are fighting much harder battles than running 26.2 miles. The St. Jude London Marathon Team has raised over $212,000 and counting. So that’s what I will be focused on tomorrow when the going gets tough (because at some point in the marathon, it always does). Thank you from the bottom of my heart to my family, friends, clients, and everyone else who has donated, cheered me on, supported me, and helped me get here. I love you all so much and hope to make you proud tomorrow. See you on the other side of 26.2!!

As some of you know, I have been selected to run as a St. Jude Hero with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s London Marathon Team. I feel very honored to be asked to support this mission that is so close to my heart. Throughout the interview process, I was asked what St. Jude meant to me. Well, it means more that I can ever express in words, much less an Instagram post. St. Jude saved my cousin Philip’s life after he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma as a young child. Did you also know that St. Jude never issues a bill to any patient or family that they serve? It is truly a magical place and an actual lifeline for so many children. This does not come without a cost- it relies on the generosity of its supporters around the world to keep providing this care. By taking the spot on the marathon team, I have pledged to raise $10,000 to support their mission. While this is a daunting task, I knew that my community would rally behind me. It felt like time to finally dig all the medals out of boxes and display them- I put them behind the treadmill for inspiration on the cold, dark mornings! Another 26.2 in the books! Chicago, you were amazing and worth all the sweat and tears I left along the way. The marathon doesn’t owe you anything, but it always teaches you something. I’m coming away from this training block and race with a new fire lit within me, after being inspired by and all his other athletes this weekend. I’m ready to dream big and put some serious work in (after some much needed rest, of course)! If you’re reading this, I’m sure you’ve inspired me in some way along the course, so THANK YOU!!

These are the most common mistakes that I see my clients making.

Unfortunately, FAST weight loss is not usually LASTING fast loss.

āŒ Instead of over-restricting, taking an all-or-nothing approach, only relying on one data paint for success, and having an unrealistic timeline, here is what I recommend:

āœ… Focus on what you can ADD to your day (veggies, water, steps, sleep), focus on consistency and not perfection, and give yourself time to transform!

Consider this a lifestyle change, NOT a quick fix diet!

This is the šŸ”‘ to getting (and keeping) the results that you want!
