Gary and Sherry Zimmer Benefit - Why we're here. On February 11, 2011 Gary and Sherry Zimmer’s home caught fire and was completely destroyed. 11 days later Gary Zimmer lost his Left Lung and part of his Chest Wall to Lung Cancer. The medical bills are excessive and especially burdensome when they need to replace even the simplest of items like clothing, medicine, food, blankets, towels, personal items, etc. Lifelong residents of the Montpelier / Pioneer area, Gary and Sherry have lived and worked in this community their entire lives and their farmhouse on Co Rd S has been their home for the past 35 years. A Benefit Fund has been set up in their names at The Farmers and Merchants Bank of Montpelier.
