Why Piquant?
Piquant was chosen for the name of our spa by Co-founder Karen Wilcox Culver. Karen was born and raised in Piqua and even though she spent 30 plus years in California running her CPA Tax Service, Piqua has always been her hometown.
The spa name was chosen because of the name of our fair city, Piqua, and the meaning of the word which fits the spirit upon which our business is built; Piquant is both “engagingly provocative” and “agreeably stimulating”.
Piquant brings to downtown Piqua a sense of elegance, the charm of the “Experienced” building enhanced by the artful design of our other Co-founder, Michael D. Culver. Michael, also born and raised in Piqua, has been a local builder/remodeler/designer/artist for many years.
