Cell and Cell Products Fermentation Facility All systems are computer controlled with algorithm-based cascade-capable PID programming.

NON-PROFIT FERMENTATION FACILITY---Offering high-quality, low-cost fermentation services to a diverse clientele which includes universities and pharmaceutical, food and personal care industries. Completely renovated in 2011, the fermentation facility, which meets BL2-LS containment requirements, is comprised of four contiguous operation units:

•Material Preparation Laboratory
•Fermentation In-Process
•Computer Control
•Product Recovery Room

Bio-reactor working capacities range from 10 to 800 liters. In the recovery room, downstream processing includes:

•Centrifugation
•Filtration
•Micro and Ultra-filtration
•Cell Disruption

Equipment includes:

•GEA Niro Soavi Pony series cell disruptor
•New Brunswick Scientific BioFlo PRO 1000 liter fermentors
•New Brunswick Scientific BioFlo 610 125 liter fermentors
•23 liter seed fermentors
•Virtis 20 SRC-X freeze dryer
•Sharples AS-26VB centrifuge
