CampLIFE- Life Inspired by Freedom and Empowerment CampLIFE is a summer day camp in North Alabama for children and young adults with special needs that also provides respite care for caregivers.

CampLIFE give children and young adults with special needs the opportunity to experience the freedom of summer camp. We also provide short term respite care for caregivers. Student volunteers in the healthcare field gain clinical experience and interprofessional collaborative practice, while maintaining a faith based approach.

Isaiah 64: 8- But now, O Lord, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

We had a wonderful CampLIFE event this past Saturday at Danville Baptist Church in Danville, AL. Thank you to the church for graciously offering your facilities and to the ladies of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for providing spaghetti and an assortment of cakes and cupcakes for the volunteers and campers. Everything was delicious!

Also, this camp would not have been possible without the faculty and students from Calhoun Community College's Nursing and Physical Therapy Assistant programs. They graciously gave up a Saturday in the summer to work with these wonderful children. We hope to continue to grow and built this partnership in the future. Thank you all!

We had various other volunteers who came and did things I'm sure I don't even know about to make this day a success. Thank you, and you know who you are.

We will be posting pictures throughout the week from this event. Parents and caregivers, feel free to tag yourselves and share!

I hope everyone felt and saw the love and grace of Jesus Christ during this day as much as I did. Thank you Lord for your blessings!
