A bit about the name, it’s been complimented a few times especially recently and it makes me so happy ❤

Milk - Because I am a lactation counselor, a mom who has breastfed all of her babies for at least a short while, but 5 of them at least until the 18 month mark, and of course, because I started out this side of things wanting to make breastmilk keepsakes.

Moon - Because she’s beautiful, and my witchy heart loves her. But also because I am a birth doula, a mother, an aspiring midwife, and I do make keepsakes that commemorate pregnancy and life in general ❤ also pregnant bellies sort of remind me of full moons ❤ the moon AND pregnancy, both, have fascinated me since I was just a little girl.

Keepsakes for now, because that’s my focus while I make it through some more schooling. But later down the road, possibly changing the name to Milk & Moon Midwifery ❤ a name I think will grow well with us as we expand throughout this journey!

Ok everyone heads up Nora rings in silver are out of stock and they’ve been really slow to get them back in. I am currently waiting on a shipment that has been slow to come, not sure what is happening yet. This was an issue I did not anticipate having as I have been purchasing from this seller religiously for exactly a year as of today and they’ve never not had what I needed!! If you are still waiting on a size 5, 5.5 or 7-9.5 in this setting, the issue should be fixed within the next week!

Sensitive topic, but I think it may help others too. What’s a thing you did during your grieving process, that made no sense?? Did it help somehow or was it neutral, did it make it worse?

My baby brother died in 2021 by su***de. He was 19 years old. Music made a lot of sense for healing, especially listening to songs he and I mutually loved. But I found myself listening to a song neither of us had ever even heard of, on repeat for several hours a day, for WEEKS after his passing.

I heard it for the first time the night after he was gone, while I was driving 1400 miles to get my bigger kids who had been at their dads for a visit. And I just could not stop listening to it. Not for songs he actually knew, not to try and find something to make me happier.

Id sit and just sob through it, and purposely put it on to sob through it, because it made all of those initial feelings of that loss come back to life, and I needed to convince myself over and over that this was real.

I also had myself convinced for a good while that there had to have been a mistake, and they found the wrong person. And that he actually WAS alive somewhere and just ran off without a trace.

Grief is WILD. It hits us all so differently.
