Everybody seems to be talking about it lately, and despite what the name sounds like, BPC-157 is NOT a droid from Star Wars. 😏
It's a peptide- a short chain of amino acids- derived from a protein found naturally in gastric juice. Researchers have been studying it for decades, mostly in the context of tissue repair and recovery.
What makes it worth paying attention to (and why we love it) is that it appears to support the body's natural healing processes- tendons, ligaments, muscle, and gut lining have all been areas of active research. It does this by promoting angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels) and supporting growth hormone receptors in healing tissue.
The patients who come to us for BPC-157 are typically working through an injury that hasn't responded the way they'd hoped, or for recovery support after a surgical procedure.
We don't offer it to everyone- but when it fits, it really fits.
If you're curious to learn more, we'd love to chat.
