So pleased to share that Elizabeth Schandelmeier, LCSW, APHSW-C, FT, senior bereavement counselor, Family Hospice, has been named the 2026 Advanced Palliative Hospice Social Worker of the Year by the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association.

Elizabeth will accept the award at the organization's May conference, where she will also be presenting.

There is so much to be said about Elizabeth's contributions to the care of patients and families, her advocacy, her leadership, her innovation, and her mentorship.

For today, we simply want to extend our congratulations to Elizabeth on this huge honor, and we hope you will join us in doing so.
