Even in the death care industry, where we are honored to walk alongside families during their most difficult moments, it's important to pause and take care of ourselves too.

Stepping away to rest and rejuvenate isn’t a luxury—it’s necessary. We owe it to the families we serve to show up as our best selves: grounded, present, and compassionate.

This weekend, a percentage of our staff will be away for some much-needed rest. However, we remain committed to you—and will have dedicated team members available should you experience a loss or need our support.

Our Owner and Director Shamiah Ngwu had the opportunity to speak to students at PITTSBURGH Student Achieved Center in Homewood about education and career paths for the funeral industry. They were surprisingly very interested and had more questions then the time allowed. We have been asked to come back. And we are thrilled. Thank you Ms. Ruthie Walker for the invite.

Some cultures mourn and cry for weeks and especially hard the day of the funeral service at the passing of a loved one. Other cultures dance and celebrate a life well lived when it comes to the passing of a loved one. There is no right or wrong. Do what you need to do to began your grief process healthy and honor your love one they way you see fit. This is a celebration of life the way most do in Nigeria.
