The women we serve all suffer from substance use disorder and usually have chronic co-occurring disorders ( SUD, trauma, mental health disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities).
They've already hit various rock bottoms, which include being exploited and trafficked due to substance use coercion. By God's Grace and Mercy, they survived. There's a song that includes the line, "rock bottom is a firm foundation," which perfectly describes the Glory of God at work through all things.
Garden Home Minstries provide our residents with an opportunity to thrive through safe housing and community partnerships to address their social determinants of health. Our referral sources include SCI-Muncy, SCI-Cambridge Springs, the Allegheny County Jail, probation/parole, homeless shelters, outpatient/inpatient mental health, and drug & alcohol facilities.
