Friday date night celebration & lucky 🍀 8!!!

Hello friends!

To celebrate our advancement to the next round in America's Favorite Couple Competition, we had an incredible date night at Riverlife's Party on the Pier!

2025 has to be our most fun-filled year with so many amazing events, concerts and parties! Last night was like a summertime wonderland!

We actually met people who were like "We're voting for you guys!" It was super humbling. We are currently in 8th place, and look at it as a sign of good luck!

* 8 is my favorite number.
* My birthday is September 8th.
* Steph's birthday is 8 days after mine on September 16th.
* We've made it 8 weeks in this competition, with two rounds to go!
* Wouldn't that be the BEST birthday gift to win the whole thing on our birthdays!

The competition is super fierce now. We figured-- "we've made it this far, let's WIN this thang!" We believe if you believe, then ANYTHING is possible.

I'll be honest ya'll, this competition is a lot to keep up with and if it weren't for you all voting and supporting, we wouldn't have come this far. It's an emotional rollercoaster.

If anything, it has taught us both a lot about community, support, giving back and learning how to receive.

The outpouring, votes, donations and overall love has super-charged us to elevate, love deeper and help more people become happy.

This is more than a competition for us, it's now a mission grounded in love. Not the "shiny internet best-moments love", but a true deep happiness and love for LIFE that we believe all can achieve.

Thank you so much for everything and tonight's voting is like the "lightning round." These couples are going hard, but they don't know me and Steph. I can accomplish anything with her by my side.

Last night we made it to first place then at the last minute two other couples jumped up to slots 1&2, this bumping us to 3rd.

Happy Sunday Funday folks!

Today is another beautiful opportunity to enjoy life.

Thanks to everyone who nudged us up to the 5th place slot. Man, the competition is really heating up!

Today is another 2x vote day where 1 vote counts as 2! I think a hefty push can bump Steph and I up to #1! This round ends on Thursday, Aug. 21st!

(We must come in first place to advance!)

I wanted to share another tip that helps us stay happy and connected is:
the variety of experiences that we share together.

Whether it's a coffee date, a museum opening, a hip hop concert, a walk in the park, a back porch dinner date, a cabin retreat, a book launch, jazz club, the symphony or a rock show--- we just have a good time no matter what we do.

It makes life so much more vibrant, rewarding and rich.
The balance of that is that we also respect and value the other person's need for time alone or to focus on their own thing. Those are a couple key factors to our success!

Good morning friends family! We wanted to thank you again for the continued votes. We are sitting in 7th (out of 14) and this is the long week of voting. This round extends to next Thursday, Aug.21st (9PST)-- so we are still in it! We wanted to share another tip that helps us stay aligned which is-spontaneous dates. We ran out of coffee creamer yesterday and Stephanie Rouch suggested a am date by biking to get lattes. What was more of a regular household errand, became an unexpected morning date before work. Plus, it's in alignment with our money goals of spending less on eating out. Because of that discipline-- this felt like a real treat! Hey everyone, exciting news. We made it to the Quarter Finals in the America’s Favorite Couple competition!

OMG, we can't believe we made it to the quarter finals!!

This is pretty incredible and very humbling.

However, now the real battle begins! There's three more rounds and I think they are going to be the MOST competitive yet! We are currently 12th!

Now we gotta ramp it up to the next level and show the world how Pittsburgh gets down! We already know we can count on you because you are the ones who got us this far.

We want to send a sincere THANK YOu to all of our friends and supporters who have kept us in this incredible race for 6 weeks now. I feel like it's a process of elimination and who has the grit to keep pushing!
