Dr. Daniel Murariu, MD, MPH, MBA, FACS, has recently joined Athena Clinic in Honolulu, Hawaii; previously, he was the Director of Microsurgery and Lymphatic Surgery at AHN and a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. He performs cosmetic surgery procedures and reconstructive surgery with a particular interest in DaVinci robotic reconstruction (VRAM, DIEP, LD, and following TORS), lymphedema surgery, and microsurgery focusing on head and neck, trauma, and breast.

Dr. Murariu received his MD/MPH degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Hawai’i, plastic surgery training at the University of Virginia, and microsurgery fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He is double board-certified and is a reviewer for PRS, PRS GO, and ASJ. Dr. Murariu has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2020, Newsweek Magazine 2022 America’s Best Plastic Surgeons ranking and featured in Pittsburgh Magazine 2021, 2022 and Honolulu Magazine and Modern Luxury Hawaii 2023 editions of Top Doctors.
