Dr Christopher Labos discusses the lack of health benefits of chocolate, established by the COSMOS study. "Have you ever heard of the COSMOS study? You should have. It was supposed to tell us once and for all whether chocolate was good for your heart or not. The COSMOS study was a large, randomized, double-blind study done to settle the issue once and for all. Sure, it was funded by the chocolate industry, and it tested a cocoa bean extract rather than the type of chocolate you buy at the store, but close enough, I guess. Anyway, it was negative."
