🚨CPR Tip of the Day🚨
Did you know the cause of cardiac arrest is often different in adults vs children?
Adults who become unresponsive and need CPR usually have a cardiac (heart-related) cause.
Children and infants are more likely to go into cardiac arrest because of a respiratory issue, meaning their body wasn't getting enough oxygen first.
That's why in a 2-rescuer CPR scenario, children and infants receive more frequent breaths during CPR compared to adults. Oxygen is critical.
Knowing these differences can save a life.
