The new Transformer movie, "Rise of the Beast" was great. More importantly, it brings national and international attention to Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). The story line features Noah Diaz (Anthony Ramos) a former soldier and electronics expert who is trying to make ends meet, which is particularly tough as his younger brother Kris (Dean Scott Vazquez) has sickle cell disease and the family is three months behind in paying the medical bills. When I heard those lines, I was shocked, SCD on the big screen. I hope this opens up conversations and how we can help.

Soma Oxygen Water is moving into Allegheny General Hospital's Suburban campus. The new medical technology center lead by Allegheny Health Network (AHN) and Innovation Works was created as a health care and life sciences accelerator. We are excited about launching our new patent pending medical therapy at this facility.

Soma Oxygen Water approved to submit funding proposal for its Aqua Baric Oxygen Therapy (ABOT). Project will focus on sickle cell disease. ABOT to control pain crisis and stop blood transfusions by increasing the patient's red blood oxygen levels.

SOMA has formed an experienced management team. It is headed by Tom Lewis III, CEO & President, inventor and patent holder of the supersaturated oxygen water therapy. He has a chemical engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon University and holds multiple patents for industrial water recycling processes. Mr. Lewis has successfully commercialized multiple processes and numerous domestic and international publications over his 41 year career. Mr. Lewis’ achievements include awards from US Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Energy’s INNCON. He has been employed by Calgon Carbon Corporation, Merck, Gulf Oil, and Alcoa Separations.
Medical Expert – Dr. William Simmons: MD. Dr. Simmons is a licensed anesthesiologist with over 42 years in the medical field. Dr. Simmons is a graduate of Mayo Clinic Medical School; Chief Resident in Pediatrics at Georgetown University Hospital and resident in Anesthesiology at George Washington University. He has received honors from the Jefferson Awards Foundation and the highest award for service in the National Medical Association, the Scroll of Merit.

Project Management & Social Media Expert – Stacey Chapman, PMP: Ms Chapman is a graduate of Penn State University Associate Degree in Liberal Art and Sciences. She has over 13 years of experience in project management and social media development. She worked for Fortune 500 companies such as Philips Respironics and Siemens. SOMA Management Team.

Soma Oxygen Water is working on a supersaturated oxygen water therapy for sickle cell disease and diabetes. I have a strong personal interest in this project because 10 years ago, my sister died at age 50 from sickle cell disease. I'm dedicating this project in her honor. I'll continue to update my friends and the medical community on our progress. Please read our upcoming press release.
