Pittsburgh's Iyengar Yoga Studio Yoga On Centre is Pittsburgh's only Iyengar Yoa Studio. We are detail oriented and teach specific actions within each pose.

Instead of moving through the postures quickly, we hold them to reap deeper effects. We use props to help people with any level of ability, or disability, to access the poses. We teach advanced students and teachers AND we help people after debilitating injuries. No one is too stiff, too out of shape or too old to practice at Yoga On Centre. You can do it! We can show you how!

Calling all beginners and those new to the Iyengar yoga system! The majority of our classes here at IYIP are beginner-friendly and appropriate for all levels. Our spring quarter begins tomorrow, Monday, 3/30. Listed below are some beginner-friendly options. We hope to see you soon! ☀️ 🐰 🐣 🌈

For beginners that prefer work with extra props and support, longer hold times, rope wall usage, have therapeutic issues, or prefer a slightly more restorative approach, the following classes are best!

Mondays 10am Supported Asana with Christina
Tuesdays 10:30 Supported Level 1 with Diane
Wednesdays 6pm Hold It! With Alex
Thursdays at 9:45 Bone Density Basics with Diane
Thursdays at 11am Supported Level 1 with Racquel

For those looking for a more traditional, active approach to learning Iyengar yoga, try these classes!

Hi all! Spring has finally sprung! The new quarter here at IYIP begins THIS Monday, 3/30. Please be aware that we will be closed for a few days at the end of April due to the NFL draft. We hope to see you!

The safety of our students and instructors is our first priority. The city of Pittsburgh is trying its best but with over half of our snowplows down we have decided to close tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/27. Wednesday is TBD. If Christina’s busses are back in service she will be there, we will keep you updated. Stay safe and warm. We’ll update here as we know more 🖤

Happy (almost) 2026! Please read below for some important announcements from us here at IYIP!

1. We are currently on winter break until Monday 1/5.

2. Please note Diane’s new Bone Density Basics class does not begin until week 2 (1/15). This will be an 11-week course.

3. Our new pricing structure begins in January. If you need to be grandfathered into our current pricing structure, please contact Christina for a coupon code, no proof of income required.

4. Please pre-register for all classes through Namastream/Hey Marvelous

5. Thank you to all of you who have donated to our year-end donation drive to keep IYIP moving forward, and to make yoga available to all regardless of ability to pay. We are currently at $9500 of our 12k goal. The drive ends at midnight on Wednesday, please donate today if you’re able! We appreciate you 🖤
