“Is your makeup disappearing into your eyelids?” 👁️

I hear this concern all the time from patients, and it’s often one of the earliest signs of excess upper eyelid skin. As we age, it’s completely natural to develop a little more skin in this area, which can create a heavy, hooded appearance and make it harder for makeup to stay in place.

In this video, I explain how an upper eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, can help restore a smoother, more defined eyelid contour while still looking natural. The goal is never to change your eyes, just to refresh them so you look more awake and feel more confident.

These results are shown at just 5 weeks post op, highlighting early healing, not the final outcome. With preservation rhinoplasty, patience is key. Swelling continues to improve, definition refines, and the nose gradually settles into its final, natural shape over the coming months.

At just 3.5 weeks post-op from this preservation rhinoplasty, we’re already seeing beautiful progress! 🤍

While this isn’t her final result, the early refinement is a great sign of what’s to come. After surgery, she did have a small mishap that understandably made her nervous, but this is exactly why I focus on maintaining a strong, stable nasal structure. Even with minor bumps along the way, her results remain protected.

Today I’m sitting back down with my preservation rhinoplasty patient to see how everything has settled at her 1-year post-op mark. My goal with preservation rhinoplasty is never to change who someone is, but to refine and preserve their natural features so everything feels balanced and harmonious.

For her, we gently reduced the nasal hump, softened the dorsum, and refined the tip to create a more feminine, natural profile while keeping the character of her nose intact.

What means the most to me isn’t just the result, it’s hearing that she now feels more confident, more comfortable in photos, and more like herself.
