I want to share a recent case of a lip lift and corner lip lift, also known as a bullhorn lip lift. This procedure enhances the shape and youthful appearance of the upper lip. Lip lifts have caught the imagination of the public and have become increasingly common over the last several years. In other words, lip lifts have become a bit trendy. However, I’m not invested in you looking trendy, I want you to look refreshed and totally natural!

Lips lifts are a perfect example of a great procedure that can really add a lot of value for many patients. However, after a bit too much marketing from the plastics industry, people get too excited and surgeons start using the procedure too aggressively. This results in overdone lip lifts, often on patients that didn’t need the procedure in the first place. On the other hand, if the procedure is done on the appropriately selected patient and in a conservative way – the results can be fantastic. The key is artistic judgement and making sure every lip lift harmonized with each unique patient’s beautiful face.

The procedure was completed under local anesthesia with oral sedation. This office-based procedure takes about an hour and can fit into most patients lifestyle.

This lovely patient has recovered nicely – stay tuned for some wonderful before and after pictures.
