Meet Joe our staff spotlight for the month!

For 23 years, Joe has been a dedicated employee at The Children's Home. He works with children and families as a counselor and provides support when people need it most. His energy, compassion, and positive attitude shine through in the work he does every day. Joe makes a lasting difference in the lives of the children and families he supports, and we are so grateful for his commitment and care.

We are excited to welcome Jonathan Hooper, MS, TVI to the Pediatric VIEW team at The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh!

Jonathan brings years of experience supporting children with visual impairments, including his work with the NYC Department of Education, service as a DeafBlind Advisor for New York State, and leadership with NYSAER. In 2020, he was honored as Teacher of the Year by the Braille Institute.

His passion for equity, access, and meaningful education makes him a perfect addition as Pediatric VIEW continues to expand services for children with cortical visual impairment (CVI) and their families.
