2024 brought me back to the birthroom after an extended sabbatical and maternity leave. Oh, what a joy to watch families grow, couples bond, and babies settle into the arms of loving parents. I am grateful! Here's to a 2025 of loving support for all kinds of families in all phases of the journey.

It's here!!!!! I am so excited to finally have this book in my hands. The Plan is the third book by Kendra Adachi, . I have a feeling this will be another book for my list of recommendations for clients. Compassionate time management is exactly what growing families need! I am anticipating good stuff behind this pretty cover.

In 2018, I completed my training as a Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula. It's a pretty cool title for the resume. 😉 Hypnobabies is a comprehensive childbirth education course coupled with personalized training in medical hypnosis. The program teaches its practitioners how to birth their babies with greater comfort and calm. Looking for a Hypnobabies class locally or virtually? I can connect you with an expert teacher with ease! My role, then, is to support you in using your hypnosis techniques, reinforce gentle vocabulary, and protect your space as you create a quiet, positive atmosphere for your baby's arrival. 🤍

It's World Breastfeeding Week! Breastfeeding support was my gateway into birthwork. I served families as a La Leche League Leader for 14 years. It was a joy and privilege to help in this specific way. As my doula practice grew and my own family grew, I stepped away from volunteering for LLL, but my training and experience have allowed me to support many doula client as they fed their babies.

💜 I support you if you breastfeed.
💜 I support you if you supplement.
💜 I support you if you use tools such as an SNS or ni**le shield.
💜 I support you if your goal is one week, one month, one year, or baby's self-weaning.
💜 I support you if you pump.
💜 I support you if you use donor milk.
💜 I support you if you choose to formula feed or decide to combo feed.
💜 I support you at the beginning, and I support you when you wean.

So why highlight World Breastfeeding Week?

I choose to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week because despite all we know about nursing and all the pro-breastfeeding resources out there, parents still feel overwhelmed and unsupported as they do this big, hard thing. Too often, misinformation and negative feedback from well-meaning loved ones and even medical professionals derail families in their nursing goals. As long as that is happening, I will raise my hands high in the air and shout, "Over here! I can help!" 👋
