🌟 Employee Spotlight: Lacey Beyer 🌟

Role: Patient Care Coordinator, Weight Loss Coach, Phlebotomist

1. Can you tell us a little about your role and responsibilities at SCMC?
I'm the first person you see when you walk into our Aspinwall location. My responsibilities encompass a wide range, from performing blood draws to coaching our medical weight loss program to providing patient education.

2. What do you enjoy most about working here?
There are so many things, it’s hard to choose just one! I’m passionate about regenerative medicine and helping our patients feel their best—it’s the most rewarding job! Getting to work with Dr. Donaldson is a dream; she’s not only an amazing person but also a brilliant doctor—her knowledge and expertise are truly unmatched!

3. Can you share a recent project or accomplishment you’re proud of?
I’m currently working toward finishing my registered nursing degree. It’s been a challenging but rewarding journey, and I’m excited to bring my knowledge and skills to my role here.

4. What’s one thing you’ve learned while working at SCMC?
I’ve learned that functional medicine has the power to truly change lives. Understanding how the body works on a cellular level to identify and treat the root causes of health issues is where the real magic happens. I love learning everything I can about cutting-edge treatments and peptides and how they can improve our overall health so we can live optimally.

5. Can you share a fun fact or something interesting about yourself that we might not know?
I played flanker for our Rugby team at Clarion University during my undergraduate studies. It was an experience that taught me the value of teamwork, discipline, and pushing my limits—lessons that continue to inspire my commitment to health, fitness, and every facet of my life today.
