We’re back with another Friday Feature! 📣 This week, we’re proud to feature Dr. Kevin Kotar, a family medicine physician whose clinical expertise and leadership continue to make a lasting impact in our region.

Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Kotar serves as Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at St. Clair Health and practices with Preferred Primary Care Physicians. Over the years, he has taken on key leadership roles, including serving on PPCP’s Board of Directors and as an Associate Medical Director.

Dr. Kotar is a proud University of Pittsburgh grad and earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed both his internship and residency in family medicine at UPMC St. Margaret.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kotar is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP), the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Allegheny County Medical Society.

When he’s not seeing patients or contributing to organizational leadership, Dr. Kotar enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and being with his wife and children.

Dr. Kevin Kotar is a Family Medicine Physician with Preferred Primary Care Physicians, where he serves on the Board of Directors. He is an Associate Medical Director at Preferred Senior Health Connect and Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Duquesne University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and he completed his residency training and a family medicine internship at UPMC St. Margaret. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, Allegheny County Medical Society and Pennsylvania Medical Society. Dr Kotar serves as Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at St. Clair Hospital and is a member of their Medical Staff Executive Board. Dr. Kotar is currently serving his first term as an ACMS Delegate to the PAMED House of Delegates.
