With one child graduating University this summer and the other child starting University this fall..this is what “empty nesters” look like..💃🏽✨🕺🏾 thanks to this extraordinary matriarch. Giving thanks for divine guidance, ancestral blessings and too many miracles to mention we did it..they’re off..sorta..Gen X parenting fa life!! All praises to the Most High!! 🌅

Happy to Share that after paying my full tuition fee; successfully completing my assessment class; and passing my final exam; I am now a Certified PIMAY Afrikan Yoga Teacher!!

I fell in love with this practice many years ago have shared and born witness to its power and efficacy in some of the finest arts institutions in North America.

For me this has been a long time coming…all thanks and praises to the Most High and my beloved ancestors who have orchestrated this in divine time.

Now, with the grace and blessing of Master Teacher Pablo Menfesawe-Imani I look forward to sharing this life Affirming Ancient practice with a wider audience. Hotep!!

How did I spend my
b’earth Day..? With PIMAY..:

That is finally engaging with Afrikan Yoga Teacher Training because the journey of growth and development never stops.

Later taking long walk to a local car dealership that was closed..to look for a new transport..our lexus met an untimely end.

Grabbing the bus home for a late afternoon nap..awoke to my teenage daughter preparing for a homecoming dance…(no curfew needed Safiya is so sensible she be telling the other kids when it’s time to go home!)

Finally ending the day on the patio of local eatery for a meal with Queen *xenergymedicine and our precocious puppy

But such is life the mundane, the unexpected and sublime intertwined…🤞🏾

Thanks for the well wishes and b’Earth day love…everyone!

Considering we’re here for a short time it feels good to know it’s not been an insignificant time.

It’s Libra Season and October is my b’earth portal month.

As I celebrate another year around the sun…
I continue to marvel at life’s mysteries and wonder at the innate consciousness of it all Giving thanks and Praises..☝🏾✨🤲🏾✨🙏🏿

PS. I had asked the barber to take a few years off…he dutifully complied.

After years of gazing on longingly we finally made it to Soul Yoga Fest Resurrection Weekend!!

Baba Kweski Karamoko’s Kemetic Ta**ra Yoga class was outstanding it’s always humbling being taught by a practitioner who has distilled years of practice down into offering the simplest, smallest detail that opens up a whole new world…nuf respect to the Master Teacher’s among us.

Mastery is exactly what Master Yirser Ra Hotep brought forward with a 2 hour virtuoso classic Kemtic Yoga class that opened, challenged and conditioned the body while stimulating that sweet energy flow synonymous with Kemtic Yoga.

We will most definitely be back!!

Real Talk...Sex Requires a Minimum Level of Physical Fitness...during the holidays I was hobbled by some low back pain that limited my range of motion and ability to exercise...so naturally I grew weaker...fast forward to few days ago when an amorous mood led to some bedroom acrobatics...well let me tell you I woke up with a crick in my neck the likes I’ve which I’ve never experienced before...I’m like damb did I injure myself from s*x...what the?! 😳

But then it dawned on me what happens when you jump back into any vigorous physical activity after a long lay off...yup dat’s right you pull a Hammy, or roll an ankle, catch a cramp...well why should s*x be any different?! 🤔

As one matures you may have to train for it and maintain a minimum level of fitness if you wanna have a good time and not suffer any unpleasant after affects..what was I doing to cause such an intense physical response..? None of your Damb business...moral of the story is before you do that double back half twist onto the bed make sure you’re up for it and stretch first...Happy Valentine’s Day Ya’ll!!🤠
